On-demand publisher Lulu is expanding its executive team with a new vice president for business development.
He is Andrew Pate, a former vice president of business development at Lightning Source, a provider of print-on-demand manufacturing and distribution services. He has more than 20 years of experience in publishing, including executive vice president and chief operating officer at Rutledge Hill Press.
“Andrew’s publishing experience will add a valuable dimension to Lulu,” said Lulu founder Bob Young. “When you are trying to introduce a new way to think about publishing books, it is invaluable to have someone on board like Andrew who combines traditional industry experience with an ambitious vision of the future.”
Pate also was executive vice president and chief operating officer at Rutledge Hill Press.
