The Scripps Research Institute, which is involved in biomedical research, has signed on tou use spend management services from SciQuest.
Scripps said it would use the application service provider suite of services at its sites in California and Florida in a move to better control — or cut- costs. SciQuest offers e-procurement services through the web.
“We need an easy to use, full featured solution that will allow our researchers to quickly review, select and order materials from the hundreds of suppliers we use. ” said Tom Gilmartin, Director of Procurement Services at The Scripps Research Institute. “We believe the SciQuest solution will meet and exceed our needs in nearly every area. With our current growth, we are anticipating this tool to be warmly received by our labs.”
