Pepsi Bottling Ventures will collocate its corporate data center with Hosted Solutions, the companies announced Wednesday.
Pepsi Bottling Ventures serves customers in North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and New York and is one of the largest bottlers in the United States.
Hosted Solutions operates data centers in Raleigh, Cary and Charlotte.
“After debating the merits of building our own data center versus colocation, we decided that the implementation speed and scalability provided by Hosted Solutions made more sense for us,” said Tommy Alexander, director of IT Infrastructure of Pepsi Bottling Ventures. “Hosted Solutions state-of-the-art facility and 24/7 tech support staff are in close proximity to our IT department and corporate headquarters, and enable us to quickly address several of our disaster recovery requirements.”
