The relationship between genomics and cancer will be the subject of an international symposium about DNA and Cancer at UNC Chapel Hill on May 11-12.

The conference is the 29th such event hosted by UNC’s Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. It will take place at the Friday Center.

Sessions will focus on mechanisms that prevent efficient DNA repair and cause cancers first to originate and then to progress, UNC said.
