SciQuest is expanding its business focus and is adding a new sales executive to lead the effort.
The RTP-based firm wants to offer its supplier management services to Fortune 1000 businesses. It has focused on life science firms and higher education institutions in the past.
Leading the new sales effort will be Bob Horowitz as vice president of commercial services. Horowitz served most recently as director of sales for Kana Software, a developer of customer relationship management solutions.
“Bob has proven experience in leading successful sales initiatives in both the commercial and life sciences markets,” said Stephen Wiehe, president and chief executive officer of SciQuest. “With this wealth of knowledge, sales leadership and industry insight, Bob is a valuable addition to the SciQuest team.”
