Frank Brick, Chairman and CEO
As Chairman and CEO, Frank oversees all corporate and board functions and directs Arsenal to ensure the attainment of sales, profit, and investment goals. Frank is responsible for devising and driving current and long-range plans and represents Arsenal in relations with its customers, in the business community, and in the storage industry. Joining Arsenal in April 2002, Frank brings to the company a proven track record of building and managing successful technology organizations.
Prior to joining Arsenal, Frank held the position of CEO at Telxon Corporation, a $450 million publicly traded company in the mobile-wireless computer systems industry. At Telxon, Frank increased sales productivity over 30 percent, two years in a row, and turned a $25 million loss into a $45 million profit over a 12-month span.
A talented and energetic leader, Frank orchestrated successes at several companies, including Basicomputer, a $225 million privately held PC Distributor and Network Integration Company. While Chairman and CEO at Basicomputer, Frank grew the business from $6 million in revenue in 1984 to over $250 million in 1992. During his accomplished career, Frank held various management and technical positions at Matrix Information and Directory Services, Exxon Office Systems, and IBM.
Steven Horan, Executive Vice President and CFO
As CFO, Steven oversees all financial, human resource, and administration functions at Arsenal. Since joining Arsenal in April of 2000, Steven has made significant contributions based on his extensive experience with finance, accounting, tax, legal, capital funding, and M&A transactions. Under Steven’s guidance as CFO, Arsenal has raised over $102 million in equity and debt capital.
Prior to joining Arsenal, Steven was Vice President and member of the Senior Financial Leadership Team at Dianippon, Inc. While at Dianippon, Steven was responsible for planning and implementing global business and tax strategies and was one of three individuals with negotiation responsibility for all material acquisitions, divestitures, capitalization transactions, and joint ventures. Steven was the lead representative for various negotiations with the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Austria, Canada, and The Netherlands. Steven also served on the Board of Directors for several foreign subsidiaries.
Prior to Dianippon, Steven spent two years as a Director with Seer Technologies, Inc. before, during and after the initial public offering and over nine years with PriceWaterhouseCoopers in various senior-level roles. His experience with PriceWaterhouseCoopers included global public and private clients in the software, entertainment, healthcare, banking, and manufacturing industries.
Steven holds a B.S. from Wake Forest University in Accounting and Computer Science. He is a licensed CPA and a member of the American Institute of CPAs, North Carolina Association of CPA’s, American Management Association, Financial Executives Institute, and North Carolina Community for Economic Development.
Samuel Sigarto, Executive Vice President and COO
Samuel Sigarto joined Arsenal as chief operations officer (COO) with more than 20 years of executive and management experience with major leaders in telecommunications products and services. As COO, Sam spearheads Arsenal’s operations, product management, and marketing organizations.
Domestically and internationally, Sam has refined and expanded existing operations, transformed unprofitable subsidiaries into cash-positive operations, driven mergers and acquisitions and led successful introductions of new technologies and products. Most recently, Sam held the position of chief operating officer of Atlantic Tele-Network, Inc. (AMEX: ANK), a regional telecommunications company. Previously, Sam served as senior vice president for several divisions at Nortel Networks (NYSE: NT). As senior vice president for Nortel’s Succession Networks and Internet Telephony Product group, he spearheaded marketing, R&D and OEM agreements, driving sales growth by more than $2 billion. Prior to Nortel Networks, Sam spent 10 years at SBC Technology Resources in several technical and management positions. He started his career at AT&T Bell Labs and Bellcore.
Sam earned an M.S. in Computer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He holds four networking patents
John Neville, Executive Vice President, Sales and Business Development
John Neville is a 23-year veteran of the telecommunications and networking industry with extensive experience in services development for the carrier market. Most recently, John was Global Vice President of Carrier Managed Services for Nortel Networks where he led the development of wireline, wireless and enterprise solutions enabling carriers to expand their portfolio to end user customers. John previously served as Nortel’s Vice President of Major Accounts for Verizon/Genuity, with responsibility for a global professional sales and services team delivering carrier/access marketing, emerging business solutions, operations and customer support.
Prior to Nortel, John served in leadership roles at NYNEX and Bell Atlantic. Pre merger as Vice President of Large Business Market Management, he led an organization responsible for marketing Vertical solutions to all Business customers within the NYNEX region. Post merger at Bell Atlantic he was Vice President Sales Emerging Markets. John also served as President/General Manager of ATS, a joint venture between Bull Information Systems and Cox Cable and 10 years in Sales/Sales Management at Digital Equipment Corporation.
John holds a degree in Business from Southern Methodist University and attended the Executive program at University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
Randy Whitehead, Executive Vice President, Global Operations
As Executive VP, Global Operations, Randy brings to Arsenal over 20 years experience in outsourcing solutions and operations, systems integration and business development.
Randy comes to Arsenal Digital Solutions from StorageTek (STK), where he was responsible for the industry’s first implementation of a storage utility solution both in an Internet Data Center (IDC), as well as an on-site facility. During his time at STK, Randy was responsible for the structuring of large outsourcing/utility deals, as well as assuming the lead technical and operational role for the development and delivery of the Managed Storage Services suite of storage utility services. This included the architecting, testing, implementing, procurement, pricing, delivery and management of all STK storage utility solutions. Prior to his work at STK, Randy held various positions with IBM, British Telecom, Data General and AT&T.
Randy holds a B.S. from Washington University, and has completed Systems Analysis postgraduate work at MIT.
Kevin Tooley, Vice President, Partner Management
As Vice President, Partner Management, Kevin brings to Arsenal more than 20 years of experience in sales, marketing, and solutions development in the storage, disaster recovery, and telecommunications industries.
Kevin comes to Arsenal Digital Solutions from StorageTek (STK) where he was Telecommunications Business Development Manager responsible for the startup of network data backup and storage utility services for the Telecommunications industry. While managing all aspects of market introduction, including service positioning, pricing, packaging, promotion and sales programs, he also developed strategic partner relationships with prominent distribution channels to market services via the Internet and private networks. Kevin was also Vice President of Network Data Storage at Comdisco, and has held several senior-level management positions with ChiCor Information Management Systems, SPRINT/Telenet and Touche-Ross.
Kevin holds a B.S. from North Dakota State University.
