Henri Meier, chairman of global investment firms HBM Partners AG and HBM BioVentures AG, will be the keynote speaker at the 14th annual biotech conference put on by the Council for Entrepreneurial Development.

The conference is set for May 24-25 at the Sheraton Imperial in RTP. The CED puts on the event along with the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, the North Carolina Biosciences Organization and the Biotechnology Industry Organization.

Meier was chief financial officer at Roche until he retired in 2000.
