A group of executives with more than 120 years of information technology experience has launched a new IT services firm called Technology Infrastructure Solutions.
Led by Raul Pupo as chief executive officer, TIS disclosed its launch this week by announcing the acquisition of Datatec Systems as part of a management buyout.
TIS is targeting Fortune 1000 firms and also said it plans to make other acquisitions.
“There are many requirements in the enterprise IT Deployment market that just aren’t being met,” Pupo said. “After careful analysis, our research shows that the IT deployment market has been traditionally serviced by scores of small, regional firms. Our enterprise customers tell us they desire a one-stop shop for deployment not only on a regional basis, but across North America as well.”
Pupo has been involved in several other tech ventures.
Datatec has been in business for more than 25 years with such clients as Lowe’s Hardware, CVS Pharmacy, State Farm Insurance, Pep Boys, and Babies-R-Us.
Datatec relocated its corporate headquarters to Alpharetta last September.
