Two professors at North Carolina State University have won $400,000 grants from the National Science Foundation as part of the NSF’s Faculty Early Career Development awards.
Peng Ning, an assistant professor of computer science, is studying sensor network security. He is a graduate of George Mason University.
Gracious Ngaile, an assistant professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering, is conducting research into manufacturing techniques in hydroforming as a means of creating lighter and stronger structures.
He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Dar Es Salaam in Tanzania in 1991 and a Masters and PhD in mechanical engineering from Kumamoto University in Japan.
