RALEIGH The University of Phoenix is expanding its presence in North Carolina.

The university, which says it is the largest such private institution in the country with more than 230,000 students, recently began offering classes from a campus in Raleigh. It also has a campus in Charlotte, which opened in August of 2003 and has drawn more than 800 students.

Degree offerings include information technology, business administration, business management and business marketing. Master’s degrees are available in business administration and computer information systems.

The campus is located at 5511 Capital Center Drive in Raleigh.
A focus of the university is working adults seeking to further their education.
