Lancope, a provider of network intrusion solutions based on behavior, has added two members to its federal government sales team.

Phillip Higgs, a former executive at Securify, Lazu Networks and McAfee, is the new federal sales director. Chris Guidry, a former captain in the US Marines who also worked with Securify, is regional sales manager.

Lancope said the additions were made as it increased its penetration of its StealthWatch product in the federal market. Its behavior detection and network intrusion services are now used by nine defense, intelligence and civilian agencies, including the Army, Navy, Air Force, National Security Agency and Missile Defense Agency.
