Images of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit models are back for mobile users in 2005.
Summus, a developer of mobile content applications, and Sports Illustrated have teamed up again to produce a variety of wallpaper images and other content.
In the second year of their partnership, the companies are offering new features such as a model of the month and a model search in addition to photos from the 2005 SI swimsuit issue.
Since launching its first mobile calendar product last March, Summus said it has provided more than 1.5 million downloads of images. The product has been its most successful one to date, Summus added.
“The success of the 2004 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit mobile offering far exceeded our expectations,” said Gordon McLeod, president of SI.com, in a statement. “Continuing our partnership with Summus for the 2005 edition allows us to offer an extremely popular product that adds value for wireless consumers.”
