EASLEY,Computer Software Innovations is purchasing a majorityinterest in VerticalBuyer, a public company that has been operating as a shell corporation.
Computer Software Innovations (CSI), which is based in Easley, bought 77 percent of the company’s common stock from Maximum Ventures for $450,000 and will reimburse Maximum for some of its legal expenses, CSI said.
Vertical Buyer ceased operations as a fiber optic lighting sales and Internet news portal in 2001.
CSI is also talking with investors, the company said in a statement.
CSI develops accounting software applications and provides network integration solutions.
