Lenovo, the China-based manufacturer that is set to buy IBM’s personal computer business, says it is confident that a U.S. security review will not interfere with the deal, NewsFactor says.

The IBM PC unit is based in Research Triangle Park.

Federal agencies have expressed concern that the purchase could lead to industrial espionage.
