Misys Healthcare Systems is teaming up with UnitedHealth Group to offer a service that could lead to faster payments for services rendered by healthcare professionals.
The electronic data service will enable users to submit claims, receive automatic payments and check for eligibility, the companies say.
UnitedHealth, which is based in Minnesota, serves 55 million people.
Misys Healthcare already processes 400 million electronic transactions a year. The group now works with 92,000 physicians at 18,000 medical practices.
