Verso Technologies, a provider of integrated communications solutions, has sold two of its operations.

MCK Communications, a provider of distributed voice solutions, was sold by Verso to Citel Technologies. Citel acquired the group with a $3.5 million secured note payable over three years.

Verso said the sale is part of its strategy to concentrate on next-generation solutions for networks.

The company also sold the assets of its NACT Telecommunications group that provided prepaid solutions for telephone companies.

Management of the group working with Kinderhook Industries took control of NACT for $4 million in cash. NACT employees stay with that group, Verso said. The group posted $8.7 million in revenue through the first nine months of 2004 and recorded a loss of $3.4 million.
