Ultimus, a fast-growing developer of business process management software, is adding a regional office in China.

Ultimus signed on eight new customers recently in the Asian Pacific markets. The new office is designed to support the company’s growing international customer base, Ultimus said in a statement.

New customers include NI Teijin Shoji K.K., Synthes K.K., PLN Kantor Pusat, Sony Thai, Motorola (China) Electronics, Lanzhou LS Group, Gobo Service and the Jiang Xi branch of China Telecom.

Philip Chui, a former executive with IBM who worked in Asian markets, will run the new office.

Over the past year, Ultimus has added offices in Spain, Italy and Dubai.
