David Russo, who served as vice president of humanresources at SAS for 19 years, is the new “chief people officer” at Peopleclick.

Russo, who left SAS to work for two startup firms, will lead Peopleclick’s human resources programs and practices, the workforce acquisition company said.

“David has earned national recognition as an innovator in providing and understanding the benefits of a quality work environment and as a champion of how the HR function can demonstrate bottom line impact and add business value,” said Stephen Sasser, Peopleclick’s president and CEO, in a statement. “He will be instrumental in helping Peopleclick advance its strategy and capabilities, both as an employer and as a provider of total workforce acquisition (TWA) services.”

Russo left SAS to work for BuildNet and later joined Empliant.
