Orson Swindle, commissioner of the Federal Trade Commission, will deliver the keynote speech at the Georgia Tech Information Security Center’s first “summit”.

The conference is set for Jan. 18 at the Global Learning and Conference Center in Technology Square at Georgia Tech.

The conference will discuss problems such as spam, phishing, spyware and other information security challenges.

Also scheduled to participate are Garry Betty, CEO of EarthLink; Paul Judge, chief technology officer of CipherTrust; Richard DeMillo, dean and professor of computing at Georgia Tech; Chris Rouland, CTO of Internet Security Systems; Arthur Coviello, CEO of RSA Security; and Doug Isenberg, editor and publisher of GigaLaw.com.
