iVivity, a developer of technology for use in storage networking systems, is expanding its sales reach with new sales offices in New England and California.

iVivity is working in areas of chip, board and integrated software solutions for high-performance storage.

The company is also deploying a technical support group to work with original equipment manufacturers that are implementing two different products from iVivity called iDiSX.

“We envision a tremendous opportunity in 2005 as we move into the production phase of our iDiSX technology,” said Dave Guy, vice president of sales for iVivity, in a statement. “To help serve the rapidly growing market interest in our industry leading 4Gbs and 10Gbs products, we brought on dedicated east and west coast sales directors with deep expertise in working with storage industry OEMs in the evaluation and adoption of new technologies. We expect to open an additional sales office in the Midwest in 2005.”

Sales teams will be led by Tony Funari on the East Coast and Mark Sprague on the West Coast. Combined, the two have 35 years of experience in OEM sales of storage chip and related technologies, iVivity said.

iVivity closed on $26 million in venture financing in May and has raised more than $50 million in all. The company was launched in 2000.
