SAN JOSE,HP and Cisco are teaming up to offer co-branded support services, with HP having been recently certified as Cisco’s first global partner.

HP and Cisco have been strategic partners for several years, and the services agreement is seen as an expansion of that relationship.

Both companies said that customers will be able to get support for enterprise networks on a global scale.

Cisco announced the launch of the alliance program in June, and HP is the first partner. It can act as a single point of contact for service calls.

In order to achieve global partner status with Cisco, HP had to invest in certification of personnel, handle round-the-clock operations and be able to eal with service calls within an hour.
