Gamebryo, the 3D graphics game engine developed by NDL, is a finalist for a 2004 Frontline Award from Game Developer magazine.

NetImmerse, the predecessor of Gamebryo, won a FrontLine Award in 1999.

“We are delighted to be recognized as one of the leading 3D graphics technology developers,” said John Austin, president and chief executive officer of NDL, in a statement. “We want to thank our many customers — it is their great games that validate our underlying technology. The features in Gamebryo (release) 1.2 that led to this recognition are largely driven by feedback and ideas we get from them. As an independent provider of development tools we can take full advantage of a broad range of customer input.”

Gamebryo 1.2 includes animation tools and other features to enhance reality and game performance.
