Witness Systems, a provider of workforce optimization software, is buying to Blue Pumpkin Software in a deal worth $75 million in cash and stock.
Blue Pumpkin, which focuses on workforce management solutions, is based in Sunnyvale, CA.
The price includes $40 million in cash and $35 million in Witness Systems (Nasdaq: WITS) stock.
“The merger reinforces the company’s position in the burgeoning global contact center workforce optimization market, and is expected to be accretive to earnings for the 2005 calendar year,” Witness Systems said in a statement.
