FAYETTEVILLE,Sprint is expanding the reach of its high-speed networking services, launching its Sprint Ethernet offering across the Sand Hills region.

The service is available in Fayetteville, Dunn, Smithfield, Southern Pines, Benson, and other communities.

“Sprint Ethernet Services offers greater bandwidth than traditional data-transport services while providing a simple and cost-effective solution,” said Randy Ritter, vice president of product management and development for Sprint. “In many industries, like government, education and health care, companies are requiring more bandwidth as they increase the amount of network-based applications running on their local area networks.”

Sprint is using networking gear from Cisco. Network services are available in speeds ranging from 5 megabits per second to one gigabit per second.
