PharmaDirections will be one of the companies to participate in the next Fuqua Small Business Consulting Program from Duke.
PharmaDirections is a consulting firm that works with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
“There are so many aspects to the drug development business that can only be learned outside of a classroom situation,” says Richard Soltero, president of PharmaDirections, in a statement. “We are very pleased to provide an environment which fosters future success for the students involved with this progressive program.”
Under the Fuqua program, MBA students are formed into teams to work with firms to not only gain business experience but to help the selected companies.
At PharmaDirections, the students will participate in outsourcing, entrepreneurship, funding and pharmaceutical business systems.
“PharmaDirections was one of the most popular applicants based on student requests.” said Bill Sax, executive-in- residence at Duke and director of the program. “The students are very enthused about this opportunity to work with PharmaDirections to learn about early stage development of new biotech products.”
