CipherTrust, a provider of messaging security solutions, is launching an industry-based group to focus on security architecture for enterprise networks.

The Enterprise Messaging Security Architecture , or EMSA, already has recruited several members. Among them are Authentium, Dimension Data, IMlogic, McAfee, RSA Security, Verity and Voltage Team.

Members are focused on security enforcement, content management, enterprise infrastructure and messaging platforms.

“CipherTrust teams with a powerful network of businesses in the security and messaging industries to deliver end-to-end email security solutions powered by award-winning technologies,” said Jon Sakoda, vice president of products at Imlogic, in a statement from the group. “EMSA is the realization of this network, uniting industry leaders like CipherTrust and IMlogic into a trusted network that can be relied upon to help customers determine how to best address their problems with a combination of leading technology and best practices.”

According to CipherTrust, EMSA’s primary goal is to address all areas of an enterprise’s complete messaging security architecture through the cooperation of the alliance partners. The group will seek a “new level of flexibility and interoperability across the leading security solutions”.

EMSA partners will address:

  • Security enforcement
