Micro Focus International, a developer of legacy application and deployment software, is opening a new office in Durham as part of an effort to drive sales in the Southeast.
Micro Focus has other US offices in California, Maryland, Oregon and Pennsylvania.
The company’s Durham office is the research and development center for application analysis tools including Revolve, Revolve Enterprise Edition and the analysis option of Mainframe Express Enterprise Edition.
Employees in Durham include senior leadership in finance, salespeople, product development and customer support.
“The opening of our new Durham office is another important step for Micro Focus as we continue to grow our business here, in the vital Research Triangle region, North America, and around the world,” said Richard Levy, vice president of development for Micro Focus, in a statement. “With a 28 year history of customer success, we are entering a new chapter in which we take our established expertise in unlocking value from legacy applications and extend them to the world of .NET, J2EE and Web services. It is fitting that we celebrate our continued evolution with an enhanced physical presence in North Carolina.”
Micro Focus was founded in 1976 in Great Britain, employs 480 people worldwide, and is privately held. Golden Gate Capital is one of its investors.
