SAS moved quickly to embrace the new release of the Solaris operating system from Sun on Monday.
SAS said its latest release of business intelligence software known as SAS 9, runs “seamlessly” on Solaris 10.
“Solaris 10 is a game changing product for Sun, and a cornerstone in the company’s improved product offerings and technological leadership,” said Jim Goodnight, CEO at SAS, in a statement. “I’m encouraged by the recent financial growth I’ve seen at Sun and look forward to working closely with them to deliver the kind of leading technology that is both invaluable and compelling to SAS and our customers.”
