Valencia Adams, who leads diversity efforts at BellSouth, will receive the CareerFOCUS Eagle Award on Thursday at a ceremony in Florida.
Adams is vice president and chief diversity officer for BellSouth.
The CareerFOCUS award is intended to recognize executives leading diversity efforts in US corporations.
“Receiving this award serves to validate the strong beliefs that I hold in the importance of the business case for diversity and inclusion in corporate America,” Adams said in a statement. “And I’m proud to work for a company whose leadership believes that our obligation to our employees extends beyond profitability and means creating a richer and more worthwhile environment in the communities in which we operate and our employees live.”
The award will be presented by the National Eagle Leadership and CareerFOCUS magazine.
