Lulu is adding software to its offerings for on-demand publishing products. And authors are signing up.

Five sets of software are available, including OpenOffice.org, Fedora, Slash and Bugzilla. Fedora is a version of Linux. OpenOffice is an alternative to Microsoft Office, according to Lulu.

Lulu sees its offerings as a way to help open source users get access to “packaged” versions of software that isn’t changing constantly.

A preparation program for Cisco’s Certified Network Administrator test is also available.

Lulu already offers more than 15,000 books from thousands of independent authors plus photographs, calendars, and music.
