The newly formed Piedmont Triad Entrepreneurial Network will host a life sciences conference on Nov. 4.

It is the group’s first major event and is intended to bring together potential investors with the Triad’s emerging life science sector.

The PTEN is a combination of two other entrepreneurial groups.
The conference begins at 11 AM at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro.

Anthony Atala, chairman of the Department of Urology at Wake Forest and director of a new Regenerative Medicine and Tissue Engineering Institute at Wake Forest University Medical Center, is the keynote speaker.

Panel discussions include technology research initiatives; life sciences and the public markets; innovative approaches from the private sector; industry trends; investment capital and exit strategies.
