WILMINGTON,A top biopharmaceutical executive and a financier in biotech are among the top speakers lined up for the sixth annual Southeastern Bio Investor Forum.

The event, sponsored by the Southeastern Life Sciences Association, is set for Nov. 8-9 in Miami.

Subhanu Saxena, who leads the Business Franchise Infectious Diseases for Novartis International AG, and Dennis Purcell, senior managing director for the Perseus-Soros Biopharmaceutical Fund, are scheduled to speak.

Saxena formerly led the primary care negotiation group at Novartis. He also has worked at Citicorp, The Boston Consulting Group and Pepsico.

Purcell joined Perseus-Soros Fund, L.P., in 2000 as a senior managing partner. He also has served on the Boethics Committee of the Biotechnology Industry Organization.
