EarthLink Offers Protection Services to Other ISP Customers

EarthLink is broadening the reach of its Internet security protection applications to customers of other Internet Service providers.

For a monthly fee of $9.95, other ISP users can receive a variety of protection and privacy tools through EarthLink’s Protection PackPlus suite.

Launches the EarthLink Protection PackPLUS

The tools are designed to deal with worms and viruses, pop-up advertisements and spam, plus block spyware and phisher sites.
The package also includes parental controls and selected products from security firm Symantec.

Specific products include spamBlocker, Spyware Blocker, ScamBlocker, Pop-Up Blocker, privacy tools, virus blocker, Norton AntiVirus and Norton Personal Firewall.
