Fonix, a developer and provider of integrated telecommunications services, is introducing Voice over Internet Protocol services for small and medium-sized businesses across the Southeast.

The Fonix solution works over existing broadband connections and replaces private branch exchange (PBX) and central office exchange (Centrex) equipment, the company says. It includes advanced features such as 911 services for locating mobile customers and conference calling.
