RES, a developer of monitoring and management software for network administrators, is opening a U.S. headquarters in Atlanta.

The company is based in the Netherlands and has a sales office in Colorado.

RES has developed PowerFuse, which it calls a management framework for Windows. The software enables systems administrators to monitor, manage, configure, secure and deploy Windows clients and servers from one console.

Jason Smith has been named vice president of operations and marketing for RES Americas. Randal DePriest will serve as vice president of business development. Both have worked with European-based software companies, RES said.
