Trusted Network Technologies, a developer of compliance and control applications for enterprise networks, has a new vice president of marketing and business strategy.

He is Robert Ciampa, a former executive at IBM.

“I was intrigued by TNT’s vision of providing a simple solution that solves a fundamental and ongoing problem in IT – how to effectively control and identify who is on your network, what they are accessing, and how to prove it,” Ciampa said in a statement. “Coming from IBM’s identity program I clearly understand the importance of effectively deploying identity in an enterprise environment. TNT expands the application of identity, streamlines the delivery, and ensures visibility, all necessary for ensuring risk mitigation and compliance. TNT’s solutions are uniquely positioned to take identity to the next level.”

Ciampa was responsible for worldwide channel strategy and marketing for IBM’s identity management and securityofferings. He joined IBM when it acquired Access360, an identity management leader, where he was responsible for channel operations and business development. Ciampa was also co-founder of NetEffect, a professional services firm with a specialty in network integration and security services.

He also holds two patents in information technology management.
