Metametrics, a developer of a reading comprehension and text difficulty applications, has released a math achievement program called the Quantile Framework.
The Durham-based firm released Quantiles after four years of development. It measures math achievement on a scientific development scale.
Quantiles has already been field tested on some 11,000 students, the company said.
Its reading program is called the Lexile Framework and is used in school districts and by standardized test companies across the United States.
Pearson Education has embraced Quintiles as part of its Progress Assessment series.
