Cisco made another move into the Internet Protocol telephony market on Monday, announcing that it was acquiring an IP services firm for $55 million in cash.

Cisco (Nasdaq: CSCO) is buying dynamicsoft of Parsippany, NJ. The firm provides Session Initiation Protocol (SIS) applications that help telecommunications providers deliver IP services for voice, data and multimedia.

Cisco continues to add services for its IP, wireless and wireline offerings as part of its drive to deliver more Voice over Internet Protocol products.
