Peak 10, which has two data and management centers in Florida, is gearing up for the possible approach of Hurricane Ivan.

The company has activated an online disaster recovery resource center located in Charlotte and is also offering temporary data center space, Internet access and disaster recovery advice and counsel to businesses.

Peak 10 has implemented an emergency management plan stressing five points:

  • Work with customers to ensure their disaster recovery plans are in place and activated.

  • Provide a secure facility. Each data center will be fully monitored and managed 24 hours a day.

  • Interconnectivity of its four data center facilities through Peak 10’s private backbone. The company will also ensure it has multiple Internet connectivity providers in place.

  • 24 hours, 7 days a week data center coverage and availability. Since all four facilities are outside mandatory evacuation areas, Peak 10’s data centers will be fully staffed and able to handle customer requests and onsite needs.

  • The availability of disaster recovery and business continuity consulting and services to current customers and those in need of temporary space.
  • Peak 10 operates data centers in Jacksonville and Tampa, FL.
