Peak 10, a provider of data center and network management services, is expanding its presence in the Triangle market.

The company has named a new vice president and general manager for its RTP operation and is also hiring to fill other new positions.

Peak 10 reported last month that it had reached profitability, based on strong growth in its four markets, including Charlotte, Tampa and Fort Lauderdale.

Taking over as VP and GM of the triangle operation is Greg Rollet, who worked previously for software firm Noverant. He was vice president of sales and business development at that firm. Rollet has also worked at Encompass, JBA international, Adaytum Software and MSAS Global Logistics.

Peak 10 is also hiring additional support and engineering staff, the company adds.

“We are constantly striving to meet new challenges by adapting and aligning our organization to maximize our capabilities and better serve our customers and business partners,” says Dave Jones, co-founder and president of Peak 10. “Adding staff and an executive with the experience, pedigree and proven leadership qualities of Greg Rollet will be instrumental in continuing Peak 10’s growth by delivering a high level of value to our growing and diverse customer portfolio in Raleigh.”

Over the last week, Peak 10 has also offered temporary data center space, Internet access and disaster recovery advice to firms that were affected by Hurricane Frances.

Peak 10 provided similar help during Hurricane Charlie and won some new business in Florida as a result.
