Adherex, a biophramaceutical firm focused on clinical oncology products, has a new chief medial officer.
He is Rajesh Malik, who most recently served as executive director at EMD Pharmaceuticals. He was responsible for global clinical development strategy of three oncology products.
Malik has also worked for Bristol-Myers Squibb and has served as co-chair of the Children’s Oncology Group Industry Advisory Council since it was formed in 2000.
Malik completed his medical training in England at Sheffield Medical School. He served a fellowship at Duke University Medical Center and was an assistant professor at the University of Virginia from 1993-2000.
