Time Warner Cable of Houston is implementing new technology from Scientific-Atlanta that will add digital video recorders and high-definition services.
The Atlanta firm said the deployment reflects its ability to deploy “overlay” technology to permit deployment of set-top boxes for the new services.
The overlay technology is designed to work on cable systems that had not previously used Scientific-Atlanta equipment.
