Biolex Names COO, Promotes Another Exec, Adds Three Board Members

Biolex promoted two executives to different positions and added new board members on Tuesday.

David Spencer is the new chief operating officer of the biotech firm. Spencer has worked for Biolex since 2001.

John Irick was named senior vice president and chief business officer. He also joined Biolex in 2001.

The three new board members are: W. Thomas Amick, an executive with Johnson & Johnson; David Castaldi, a long-time biotech industry executive; and P. Sherrill Neff, a managing partner with Quaker BioVentures.
