Verso, a developer of communications solutions, says its softswitch product will be used as part of an Internet Protocol-telephone offering from Comwave.
Comwave offers long distance and managed voice services in Canada and the US.
Verso’s Clarent Edge Access Softswitch is designed to help communications firms offer telephony services over IP with full features such as personal 800 numbers, long distance services, calling cards and local service.
