New Way Marketing received some good news from Internet giant America Online earlier this month.

AOL notified New Way that its web accelerated marketing suite, called WAM, has met guidelines spelled out by legislation designed to regular spam, or unwanted, unsolicited email. It therefore is listed as a “White” list sender by AOL.

“The designation means that WAM customers will be able to more successfully communicate with their in-house list subscribers who are also AOL members without fear of being filtered at the ISP (Internet Service provider) level,” said Marc Pitre, president of New Way Media. “We’ve taken careful technical and procedural steps to make sure that we help our customers be effective email marketers without being categorized as spammers.”

The White list means New Way Media’s tools follow rules for opt-in and unsubscribe requirements.
