Data centers operated by Peak 10 in Tampa and Jacksonville stayed in operation throughout Hurricane Charley and tropical storm Bonnie, supporting customers as far south as Naples, the company says.
Peak 10 implemented a emergency management plan to cover secure, fully monitored and manned centers, maintaining interconnectivity between sites on its own backbone, preparing generators, and ensuring disaster recovery and business continuity services were available. The company also said its data centers are not in mandatory evacuation areas.
Peak 10 also operates data centers in Charlotte and Research Triangle Park.
