ALPHARETTA,Optio Software, a developer of software for output management and forms automation, is buying VertiSoft in a deal worth some $2 million.
VertiSoft offers healthcare solutions for medical records, physicians records and financial services.
Optio (OTCBB: OPTO) agreed to pay $350,000 in cash plus 1.5 million shares of stock. Optio closed at $1.11 on Wednesday, making the value of the deal nearly $2 million based on that price. The stock has a 52-week high of $1.85.
Optio also agreed to assume VertiSoft’s debt.
