The ‘we’re hiring’ sign is out at Big Blue/ IBM plans to hire 18,800 new employees and end 2004 at its highest staffing level in more than 10 years, with a workforce of 330,000 employees, NewsFactor reports. At least one-third of the new positions will open in the United States and North America, the company says.
