Rackspace Managed Hosting is implementing a network performance program from Internap for its Texas and Virginia locations.
The Flow Control Platform from Internap is designed to improve network performance between 20 and 40 percent and also give customers more control over costs, according to Internap.
“Implementing Internap’s FCP allowed us to control our costs, while dramatically improving network performance for our customers,” said Paul Froutan, vice president of engineering for Rackspace. “After evaluating multiple solutions from a variety of vendors, we determined that the Internap solution had the features that best suited our needs of increasing reliability and performance, while reducing cost.”
Froutan said in a statement that Interap’s applications helps minimize latency and reduce packet loss.
