WEST POINT,ITC DeltaCom cut its losses in the most recent quarter to $5.5 million even though revenue increased only $250,000, the company reported Monday.
ITC, a provider of telecommunications services, says revenues climbed a bit to $149.3 million. The figure includes consolidate revenues with BTI, the Raleigh-based telecom firm ITC acquired. Its losses in the preceding quarter were $8.7 million.
ITC (Nasdaq: ITCD) attributed the cut in losses to $7.6 million in costs savings resulting from the merger of BTI and ITC operations. The savings were $2.5 million higher than the first quarter.
The company also reported an increase of more than 5,300 retail business lines.
